AIRCRAFT MECHANIC - APPRENTICE - Multiple Locations - Canada

Description

The Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice will work under the supervision of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to safely maintain aircraft.

As an Aircraft Mechanic - Apprentice, you will be required to:

  • Develop your skills by performing and ensuring proper completion of all maintenance activities, with the support of experienced AME's. You will perform engine work, inspections and filter changes working directly with an AME and you are required to ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate. You will ensure all components installed are properly certified, carry out duties as per the appropriate company manuals and ensure familiarity and conformity to regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Post Secondary College and working towards an AME Certification required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Standard Aviation Tool Kit.
  • Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Pass issued by Transport Canada and an AVOP.
  • Criminal Background Check & Compliant to Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

  • Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
  • Work Environment: Aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
