Description

The Structures Technician will maintain the company’s aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition in accordance with the company’s maintenance manuals and Government Regulations.

As a Structures Technician, you will be required to:

  • Inspect, repair, fabricate and install aircraft sheet metal and composite parts and structures.
  • Coordinate work with that of engineers, technicians, and other aircraft maintenance personnel.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Assess maintenance/repair requirements for airframe components and assemblies using technical manuals, service bulletins and other approved data.
  • Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job function.

 

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

  • AME License preferred but not required.
  • Must have knowledge of sheet metal equipment and tooling.
  • Must have an understanding of Transport Canada rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of aviation documentation, manufacturer’s maintenance manuals and other technical data that supports the fabrication, installation and repair process of aircraft structural components
  • The ability to read blueprints and repair or fabricate structural components from blueprints.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Pass issued by Transport Canada and an AVOP.
  • Criminal Background Check & Compliant to Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

  • Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
  • Work Environment: Aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
